1973
Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4. In 73 Chevy was still using the same bullet proof
drivelines as the 72's. It has the 205 transfer case, Big Spicer hub
front end, and the big rear driveshaft. This truck still has most of
it's original paint. This truck has spent it's entire live in central
California, but still got some rust on the exterior metal. I don't
think there is such a thing is a totally rustfree 73 - 75. All the
underside metal is solid i.e. floor pans, cab mounts, bed braces, etc.
I included several underside shots to show how solid it is. The rust is
just on the outer panels. All the backsides and wheel lips are rock
solid. The truck is a nice driver. You could hop in and drives this
truck anywhere. I have personally used the 4x4 system and it works
perfect. The 350 runs good, it has a rebuilt automatic, power steering,
powers disc brakes, and air conditioning (not working). The bed was
dented on the passengers side. All the previous owner did is pop out
the dent and prime it. no body work has been done yet.
This is a
solid California truck, but not as solid as I prefer. I am pricing it
to move it out quick. |
