1984 Chevy Stepside 4x4. This is a
unique rig. The drivetrain has been upgraded 3/4 ton axles.
The front axles is a big hub Dana 44, and the rear is a corporate 14
bolt full floater. They are out of a 74 K20. Otherwise it is
a fully loaded Silverado that is 100% Rustfree from the Nevada desert.
The body is very straight with only 1 dent in the passengers side front
fender. Even the
wood in the bed is even still usable.
Mechanically it is a turn key
driver.
It has a mildly hopped up 350,
with a 700R4 overdrive mated to a 208 transfercase. Other options include: A/C
cab, dual fuel tanks, PW, PDL, tilt, cruise, etc. It also has the
factory factory tow hooks that are cool. The disc brakes stop nice, and
it has nice sounding FlowMaster exhaust. The engine runs strong
and has an Edelbrock intake and carb. It also has a mild cam and
headers. As I said the engine runs strong however it has a noise
in it like a wrist pin or collapsed piston skirt. I have ran the
engine pretty hard and it hasn't gotten any worse. It probably
wouldn't take much to diagnose and fix the noise, but we chose not to
dig into it.
The interior is clean for it's
age. All the gauges work, as do the power window and door locks.
It also has a nice sounding Alpine CD radio.
Bottom line, this is a unique
Rustfree 4x4 at a fair price. If the engine were perfect, we'd be
asking $9450.00 |
