Not many
unrestored original survivors left. This is a one
family owned pretty original 1972 K10 1/2 ton factory 4x4. It was
only used on a ranch in Wyoming, and is claimed to only have 43,181
miles. This 4x4 is as 99% plus rustfree western survivor. Yes it
has some battle scares, but no surprises. The only spot of cancer
is 50 cent piece sized hole in the bottom of the passengers cab corner.
Any other rust is surface rust from road rash or normal use. This
is the most solid one of these I have seen in years.
This a well
optioned real 4x4. It has a nice running matching numbers 350 with
a 4bbl. A nice shifting 4 speed with a smooth clutch. It has
power steering, power disc brakes, full gauges, and a limited slip
(Posi) rear axle with nice 3.73 gears. These trucks got the good
heavy duty parts. Dana 44 front axle, gear driven 205 transfer
case, and the 12 bolt rear axle. The tires a nice bias ply mud
grips. She really drives nice, but a new set of radial tires would
make it drive perfect.
The interior
is all new and done with the correct pieces. Seat cover, dash pad,
floor mat, sill plates, and the glove box liner are all new.
Like I say,
she's not perfect, but they just aren't out there anymore. If you
really want one of the 67 - 72 4x4's you really cant wait much longer.
Enjoy the
pics!
