This is a clean
straight 1983 Chevy Silverado K10 1/2 ton 4x4. It is rustfree
from Arizona. It originally had a diesel in it, but now has a 454.
The install looks factory. The engine runs
strong, and the Turbo 400 automatic transmission shifts nice. It looks to only
have 99k miles on it. It is the Top-of-the Line Silverado model,
featuring: A/C, PW, PDL, quad front shocks, class III tow hitch, etc.
It drives straight and tight, and the brakes
stops good. The tires are real nice 31/10.5/15's on the factory alloy
wheels. The engine has a light knocking sound, but as I said it runs
smooth and strong. It has good oil pressure. I have driven it
several miles and pretty hard to make sure it wasn't a bearing issue.
The picture of the gauges is after I drove it 10 plus miles. Good
temperature and good oil pressure.
The body and inside the bed are very
straight, especially for being over 35 years old. It has a couple
dings in the bed but nothing major. We installed a dash carpet, and
slip on seat cover to make the interior look nicer. It even still has
the factory AM/FM/Cassette stereo. Other than the engine, and trans,
she is an original Arizona survivor.
I'm struggling to find square body GM
4x4's. They are drying up fast. At first glance this one isn't
much to look at, but it's original black paint, rustfree, and pretty darn
straight. I've priced it a couple grand under what I would like to get
due to the engine noise, and paint condition.
I would hop in and drive anyplace period.
I can't say much more about it. I will let the pictures speak for
themselves. |
