Very nice
and rare 1991 Chevy 1 ton,
crew-cab dually 4x4, with Top-of-the-line Silverado trim. This 1 ton
dually is the last
and best of
this classics Body style. 1991
was the only year GM offered the HD overdrive automatic (4L80E).
This transmission is basically a TH400 with overdrive. It is very
strong and will allow your to run 70 or 75 and still get 10 MPG.
With the TH 400 that is in the earlier models 65 is tops and you are
lucky to get 7 MPG. I drove this truck 500 miles at 73MPH and got
exactly 10 MPG. The overdrive trans is what these trucks needed to
make them drivable. This is a clean 2 owner 4x4 that is 100% Rustfree from California with only
125,000 actual miles.
This truck is a fully loaded Silverado. Options include: Fuel Injected 454
(rebuilt at 77,000), HD overdrive automatic (4L80E), 3+3
seating, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, cold A/C, Cruise, Tilt, Tow
Package, factory Radio, etc.
It features the original paint, interior, and a
rebuilt engine with receipts. The body is very straight with the
exception of the tailgate being bowed from the inside. Some of the
original white paint is flaking off. The
interior is bright and clean and no signs of smoking. The front is
seat starting to show some wear. This is truly a one of a kind truck. If you want
one of the nicest, original, unabused 1 ton crew cabs 4x4's around this
is the truck for you. The original owner was a fireman and he took impeccable care if this truck.
Included is a log book and receipts for repairs since new. At 77k
the engine burnt a piston so he rebuilt the entire engine. He
added an aluminum Edlebrock performer TBI intake and a towing cam.
It pulls nice and strong and shifts nice and firm. I even have the original window sticker &
books. The truck has had a set of simulators added, and a hide-a-ball
goose neck hitch added since these pictures were taken. This truck cost over $31,000 including dealer installed options
in 91. This truck runs and drives excellent, you won't be
disappointed.
