Unique and hard to
find 1978 F150 short bed stepside 4x4. I got it from the second owner
in Nevada, but she spent most of her life in California. This is a
nice rustfree western survivor. It has a rebuilt 351, with just under
20k on it. It has a nice shifting C6 automatic. It also has
power steering, and power disc brakes.
These were the last of the real Ford 4x4s. It has a Dana 44 straight
front axle, the bullet proof 205 transfer case, and a limited slip "posi" 9"
rear with conservative 3.50:1 gears.
The tires are like new with 90% tread
33x12.5x15's. The exhaust sounds nice. The suspension is tight.
We did weld in a new
drivers side floor pan from LMC truck parts. The original wasn't real
bad, but had some soft spots in it. Now the truck is 100% rustfree.
It also has a very straight bed, tailgate, and upper bed rails.
It has a nice sounding
Alpine CD system in it also.
She runs and drives
real nice. I get quite a few requests for these stepside, but just
can't find many of them.
