I have been having more and more
requests for 80's vintage Fords, and they have been selling well. The
pre 80 trucks are all but gone, beat junk, or just too expensive. This
one is a 1986 Ford F250 4x4. 86
was the last of the "Bull Nose" era trucks that ran from 80 - 86. This
4x4 features a pretty straight, 100% rustfree body from California.
It has had two adult owners, and is only showing 59k miles. I'm not
sure if that is accurate or not , but the interior is pretty clean for be
159k. The body is
also pretty straight. It has a couple small dents.
This truck has never been lifted or off-roaded.
It has a nice proud stance. It runs and drives nice. It features a strong smooth 460. It
has a smooth shifting 4 speed. The clutch
feels nice also. Other options include: AC, tilt,
intermittent wipers, factory
tach, dual fuel tanks, factory AM/FM/Cassette stereo, etc. It has
conservative 3.55 gears, with a limited slip "Posi" Sterling 10.5 rear
axle. It also has
manual locking front hubs.
The
interior is clean and original.
We installed a new headliner.
The
bed inside is is pretty straight, as are the upper bed rails. In no way has this
been a work truck. It has a class III hitch, with an electric brake
controller also.
The brakes, suspension, and exhaust all
are sound. The 4x4 system works properly.
This is a very cool well optioned
heavy duty 4x4, with a 460, 4 speed, and AC. It
doesn't get much better for a Bull Nose!
