I have been having more and more
requests for newer Fords, and finding less 70's Fords worth buying. They have been selling well,
so I went
looking for another, and here is what I came up with.
1990 F250, with
the Top-of-the-Line Lariat trim. It is 100% rustfree from out
west, has a pretty straight body, and still has most of it's original paint.
It is only showing 12k on the odometer so probably 112k.
It is fully loaded and features a fuel injected 460. It does vibrate
at idle. The engine isn't painted its original color, so they may have
rebuilt it and put in a bigger cam. It has a nice shifting
overdrive automatic, Cold A/C, PW, PDL, Tilt, Cruise, Dana 50 front axle,
Sterling rear with 4.10 gears, dual tanks, etc. This truck hasn't
been cut on or worked to death. It drives nice. The brakes, and suspension are sound.
The exhaust is short and loud. It has almost new 235/85/16 Kelly
tires. The interior is
clean for it's age. It also has the factory tachometer, and working
original radio.
I priced this truck a couple grand
cheaper than I would like, due to the uncertainty of the engine. It is
a great truck and I would hop in and drive it anywhere.
