This is a hard to find, and
desirable 1980 GMC 1 ton regular cab dually 4x4. This is a
top-of-the-line "Sierra Classic" model. What makes the
1980 models so cool and desirable is the square head light front end.
This is a one year only design, and it only came on the top of the line
models from GMC and Chevy. Not all 1980 GM trucks got this neat
looking front end. This is a 99.9% rustfree west coast 4x4. It
is very straight, and still features much of it's original paint.
Even the inside of the bed and upper bed rails are very straight.
This was never a work trucks. I call it 99.9% rustfree because it
has one spot that has ben fixed in the drivers floor board. I
suspect the carpet got wet and caused a rust spot. The rust has
been cut out and a correct stamped piece has been welded in. That
is the only spot of rust, or ex rust on the entire truck period.
It has had two adult owners, and only has 87,152 actual miles. It
features a smooth strong 400 small block, and a nice shifting TH400
automatic. It also had dual fuel tanks, working cruise control,
tilt steering, delay wipers, etc. It has the correct Dana 60 front
axle and the bullet proof NP205 transfer case. The suspension is
tight, the dual exhaust is sound, and the brakes stop nice. It
also has brand new 235/85/16 radials on all 6 wheels. The interior is
original and clean for it's age, and even still has the original AM/FM
radio.
She doesn't need a thing to be a nice daily drive. I would
hop in and drive this truck anywhere. This is a one of a kind no
excuses rare heavy duty 4x4. |
