1979 Ford F250 4×4 Premium “Ranger” trim

Hard to find 1979 F250 4×4. As my loyal followers know, it is getting real tough to find nice original 4×4’s. I felt real lucky to find this one. Her name is “Lucille”. This is the fancier “Ranger” trim model and is well optioned: with a rebuilt 400, 4 speed, PS, PDB, factory bed mounted tie down hooks, and bed side tool box. It also has dual fuel tanks. This truck is a nice stock original survivor, with great patina, and what’s left of it’s original “Maroon Metallic” paint. It is 99.9% rust-free from California. This truck was built in San Jose, California, and spent it’s entire life there, until we brought it back here. It has like new 265×75×16 Uniroyal Laredo A/T tires on factory Ford steel wheels. It also has conservative 3.55 gears, that make it drivable. it has nice sounding exhaust on it. It has a working factory AM/FM. The bed is straight inside, but did have an auxiliary fuel tank in is and it at some point got gravel between it and the bed floor, and wore divots in the floor. They have been fixed and we sprayed a nice high quality bed liner in.
The body has other miscellaneous dents, dings and scratches, but has the perfect look just as it is.
We have changed the way we do our nice original survivors now. We are totally redoing our interiors with new carpet, seat covers, and nice original or new dash pads, sill plates, headliners, weather stripping, headliners, etc. It really enhances the driving experience, and frankly makes them smell like new.
This truck is real pleasant to drive, and just looks cool. Everyone who has seen it in the shop loves it.
