Rare, desirable, and hard to
find 1974 Chevy K5 Blazer. These were the last of the true full
convertible Blazer. The top comes completely off only leaving the
windshield. This one only has 80k showing on the odometer, and had
the same owner until a few years ago. The paint is still totally
original, and rustfree from California. It has a few battle
scares, but not bad for being over 40 years old. The front floors
have a ting of surface rust from moisture getting under the carpet, but
are rock solid. The original owner also brushed on some rust
neutralizer on the bottoms of the doors to cover up where the factory
paint was thin, but again it's not rust. It has less than 5k
miles on rebuilds of both the original 350 engine, and TH350 automatic.
She is a blast to drive. The tires have nice tread, but are old
and vibrate a little bit at highway speed.
This is the Top-of-the-Line
Cheyenne model, and is well optioned. Again, it has a rebuilt 350,
and 350 trans, plus A/C, PS, PDB, tilt wheel, etc. The AC
compressor didn't get reinstalled after the engine rebuild. The
interior is complete and original, but has been baked by the California
sun. To get this nice rustfree sheet metal you have to compromise
somewhere. I'd gladly do some interior work over rust repair.
Anyone who is into these know how
rare it is to find one in this clean and original survivor condition.
I can't say much
more. It's best
to just let the pictures speak for themselves.
If you have
been watching my site for one of these second generation convertibles,
don't hesitate. Who knows when or if I will get another. |
