I know this is
a bit out of my wheel-house, but I couldn't pass it up. A friend
of mine in Oregon restored this truck for himself with no intention of
selling, but due to the Corona "crisis" he needed to sell it. It
is s 1981 Chevy K10 1/2 ton Short Bed 4x4. It is a fully loaded
Silverado. The truck has just over 1000 miles on the cosmetic and
mechanical restoration. It was not a frame off restoration and is
priced accordingly. The paint is very nice, and the body is
straight and rustfree from southern Oregon. The color is Corvette
Silver Blue that was used in 1980. All the exterior trim is either
new or nice original quality. The inside of the bed doesn't have a
dent in it, and has a nice professional spray in bed liner. It
also has nice tinted windows. She is stunning to look at and
everybody who sees it loves it.
The interior is
also all new or nice original Charcoal color. The seat cover,
carpet, Lower Door carpets, headliner and dash pad are all new high
quality or NOS "New Old Stock" parts. It still smells new inside.
Mechanically
everything has been gone over or replaced. The engine is a rebuilt
400 small block, with an Edelbrock intake and cam combo. It idles
smooth, but runs strong. The transmission is a rebuilt TH350 that
shifts nice. The brakes and suspension have been gone through.
She rides on new 33/12.5/15 BFG's on the factory rallies, and a 4in
Rough Country lift. This combination gives this Classic Short Bed
Square Body 4x4 the perfect stance.
As mentioned it
is a fully loaded Silverado. It has working ice cold A/C. It
has PW, PDL, Tilt, Cruise, Int. wipers, and a working factory clock.
My wife and I
just drove this to out local cruise in in over 90 degree weather with
the A/C on and she did perfect. I could go on and on about this
Classic 4x4, but I know your dying to see the pics. Enjoy!
