1985 Suburban 1/2 ton 4x4. It is the Top-of-the-Line Silverado
model. It has a new crate Vortec 350 with an Edelbrock intake a
carb combo, nice shifting overdrive A/T, Cold front and rear A/C, Rear heat,
Cruise, PW, PDL, tow package, 3.73 gears, etc. This Suburban
is 99.9% rustfree from North Dakota. It appears to only have 128k miles on it. It runs, shifts
and drives
strong and smooth. It has nice stock sized all terrain tires on
the factory rally wheels. It also has factory quad front shocks and
a steering
stabilizer. The extra shocks really make them drive nice.
The interior is very clean and only shows
minimal wear, and
soiling, for the age. We installed a new head liner, and put a dash carpet to spruce up the
interior. It has a nice sounding basic AM/FM stereo. It also
has the preferred rear barn doors.
The suspension is tight, the
brakes stop nice. It has nice dual exhaust, that is a bit loud for
my taste. Also, being a Vortec engine it doesn't have mechanical
fuel pump provisions, so it has to utilize an electric fuel pump.
The paint is showing some of
the prone delimitation of the era down low. The body is extremely
solid and only has one little spot of rust on the back of the rear pass
side wheel opening. Also, the body has some cracks in the filler.
I have included pictures of all the mentioned areas.
Bottom line this is a nice honest square
body Suburban. I'd hop in and drive it cross county right now. |
