This is a solid 99%
Rustfree 1985 Chevy "Custom Deluxe" 3/4 ton 4x4 from California. The odometer only reads
67,791 and is claimed to be original. I spent it's life on a ranch in
California. The body has a few dings, but is basically straight. The
bed is straight for it's age also. I call it 95% rustfree because it
has rust in just the outer skin of the cab corners and a few bubbles in the
lower rear of the passengers side rear wheel opening. I included
detailed pictures of each area.
I have driven this truck a hundred miles
or so, it is a nice driver. This is a pretty basic heavy duty 4x4
with just the necessary options. It has an excellent running 6.2
diesel engine, a nice shifting TH400 automatic, manual locking front hubs,
full gauges, dual tanks, posi rear, class III
tow hitch, etc. We installed a rebuilt injection pump. A new
injection pump really makes the engine run nice and smooth. The glow
plugs also work properly. The 6.2 engines has decent power, and gets
excellent fuel economy. This is an honest truck at a fair price.
I don't get many square bodies I can sell this cheap anymore. truck. This 4x4
has factory steel wheels with good OE sized tires and factory hub caps.
We put a dash carpet on the dash, and a seat cover on it to spruce up the
interior. We also put an old school Pioneer stereo in it. She
has been a couple color over the years, but she is a nice solid turn key
driver. Run
the 6.2 as is or due a Duramax swap! |
