K5 Chevy Blazer
4x4. This is the base model Blazer. This one is 99% rustfree
from California and still has most of it's original paint. This K5 has a nice proud
stance with nice 31x10.50x15 tires. These were the last of the
removable top Blazers. As I said it is the base model, but it was
ordered with a 350, overdrive automatic, posi rear, manual locking hubs,
skid plates and a 31 gallon fuel tank. It also has a nice sounding
CD radio, and a class III receiver style hitch. The vinyl
on the bucket seats is split so we put on some nice heavy duty slip on
seat covers. The dash is also split from the California heat and
we installed a nice dash carpet cover.
This Blazer is an excellent driver.
The people I bought it from said they
had the transmission rebuilt recently. The 350 engine runs smooth
and strong. The exhaust has a FlowMaster muffler that splits into
duals and sounds real nice. The brakes stop nice and the
suspension is tight.
I call it 99%
rustfree because it has some rust in the lower outer part of the
tailgate, and a spot behind the drivers rear wheel. In the picture
of the drivers floor board you will see where the previous owner welded
some cracks in the floor by the drivers seat mount. That cracking
is common on K5's, I seen it on several of them.
This Blazer isn't perfect, but it's a nice solid driver. I have taken
close-ups of the minor rust and the body damage. I have priced it very
fair for the condition.
It's a nice unmolested survivor, that
I wouldn't be afraid to hop in and drive it cross country. |
