1987 Chevy K10 Short Bed "Custom Deluxe" trim
Very clean & very original 1987 Chevy K10 short bed 4x4. 1987 is the most desirable year of this classic body style. The reason is that 87 was the only year for fuel injection in this body. There is nothing like just starting it up and driving off. No choke, no hard if any start on a cold morning. Non of the old carburetor woes. This short bed is 100% RUSTFREE and still has the original paint on a straight body. This is one of the cleanest original 4x4's I have owned. Even the bed floor is virtually dent free. As you can see this was never a work truck. It only has 118k original miles. It runs and drives excellent, just like a low mile unabused 4x4 should. This 87 short bed is a nice simple 4x4. So it has less that can go wrong. It has the economical 4.3 v-6, a 4 speed, power steering, and power disc brakes. The brakes, suspension, exhaust, and clutch are are excellent. The 4x4 system works smooth. It has new 31x10.5x15 tires on the factory 8" rallies; along with new shocks. The interior is hasn't been smoked in, and is clean. The material on the seat cover has deteriorated, and the dash pad has some cracks, but the seat still sits fine with no foam or spring damage.
The 4.3 is a great engine, with plenty of power for most applications. The previous owner claimed 17 mpg on the highway.
If you have been looking for a clean, original short bed, this is it.
I would hop in and drive this 4x4 anywhere.
