1989 Chevy
Suburban V2500 3/4ton 4x4. This Suburban is 100% rustfree from
California. It is a fully loaded, Top-of-the-Line Silverado model.
It looks to have most every option available. It has a fuel
injected 350, HD TH400 automatic, (Cold) front and rear A/C, Cruise, Tilt, PW, PDL,
Bucket Seats, rear defog, Class III hitch, Quad Front Shocks,
a limited slip (posi) rear, etc. It also has 3.73 axles in it,
which is the perfect compromise between towing capability, and highway
cruising. The odometer shows 75,217, and is claimed to be original.
This Suburban runs nice and the transmission shifts nice and firm.
Every so often it lets out a very slight hint of smoke at start up.
This Suburban sits up nice and proud. The suspension is tight, and it drives nice. It has
like new 265/75/16 tires. The AC has been upgraded to R134A Freon
the proper way, with a new GM compressor and receiver/dryer. As
mentioned it has the factory front Quad shock set up. That really
helps control the front suspension and really makes them drive nice.
Mechanically
everything works, including: AC, Cruise, Rear defog, all power windows
and locks, all gauges, rear lift gate power window, etc.
It has front
buckets seats with second and 3rd row bench seats, and sits a total of 8
people. It also has the center and upper consoles. The interior
overall is very clean, only showing minor wear, and soiling.
We did install a new headliner. Even the dash pad is still mint.
That is unheard of.
The paint is
showing it's age, but still has a nice look overall. The body is
very straight, other
than a few small dings.
This is a nice clean no excuses heavy duty, fully loaded Suburban.
It is tough to find original Suburbans this clean anymore not to mention a
3/4 ton square body 4x4. I'd
hop in and drive it anyplace. |
