1976 Ford F250 "Highboy" 4x4

1976 Ford F250 factory "Highboy" 4x4, with a nice rugged stance.  This a 99.5% RUSTFREE, Highboy from California.  This is a very original survivor still.  All but the passengers door, and the tailgate are original paint still.  It even still has the original split rim wheels on it.  The 360 was rebuilt years ago, and runs smooth, and strong.  It has a nice shifting 4 speed with a smooth clutch.  I has the desirable big Spicer hub front axle.  I has the bullet proof NP205 transfercase, and a Dana 60 rear with 4:10 gears.  It also has power steering and the big power disc brakes.  I call it 99.5% rustfree because both front floors have soft spots, and a spot on the out side lower rear of the bed on the passengers where a support is welded that caused mud kicked off the rear tire to get trapped.  About every Highboy I'm getting now has soft floors due to moisture getting trapped under the rubber mat, and I have seen that some spot on the bed on several trucks.  They are just getting too old to still be 100% rustfree anymore.  You just cant hardly find a 100% rustfree one anymore.  They are just getting to old.  It has a nice sounding am/fm old school radio.

It runs and drives nice, even with the bias tires.  It does have a slight wine in the trans or tcase, but it shifts fine and the 4x4 system works fine also.

Bottom line this is a pretty nice original survivor, that hasn't lifted or all cut up.  I get requests almost daily for 76 and early 77 Highboys with disc brakes.  I have gotten to where I just tell everyone to watch the site and first come first served.  She wont last long.
