1976 Ford "Highboy" F250 4x4
1976 Ford F250. This is the "Holy Grail" of "Highboys". 1976 Featured the open knuckle, disc brake front axle.
This one is 100% rustfree, which is unheard of in these early High Boys. This one features a smooth strong 360, and a 4 speed with a good clutch. It also has the desirable big Spicer hub disc brake front axle, the bullet proof 205 transfer case and a 4.10 limited slip Dana 60 rear. It has power steering, does have some play, power disc brakes, and the very rare and desirable factory 10" wide factory wheels. The tires are decent 33/12.5/16.5's
The interior is clean and original, with a nice sounding AM/FM cassette radio. It also has the cool looking west coast style mirrors on it.
All these old 4x4's are getting tougher for me to find, but these Highboys are all but gone. There probably aren't many of these original survivors left. I'm just not finding them in good shape like I used to. If your wanting one, I wouldn't keep waiting. Enjoy the pics.
