1977Ford F250 4x4, the last and the best of the "Highboy's"

This is a fine example of an early 1977 Ford F250 factory "Highboy" 4x4.  This is a one family owned true original survivor.  The early 77's got the 351 engine, but retained the other highboy features from 76.  1977 was the last year for the "Highboy", is the most desirable, and only ran till mid 77.  The late 77's sat lower and got the same chassis as the 78 and 79's.  This one features 100% original red paint on a 100% rustfree body from California.  On the roof and a couple other spots you can see the factory Ford primer where the California sun had backed the paint off.  The 4x4 has never been cut or lifted, and is one of the nicest original Highboys I have ever had.  The body has a few dings from normal use but not abuse.  The only real dent is on the right side of the roof.  The old timer got it up under a branch on one of his Pecan trees.  Even the bed floor and bed rails are pretty straight, and the truck as a whole only shows minimal signs of normal wear a tare, but no abuse.  This truck is an excellent driver.  The 351 runs strong, the 4 speed shifts nice, the 205 transfer case operates smoothly and the 4x4 system works perfect.  It has new Warn locking hubs on the desirable "Big Hub" front end.  The OE Spicer hubs are plastic on the inside and break.  Other options include Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Limited slip rear axle with 4:10 gears.  But the best option is factory A/C.  I believe this is the only 77 HB with a 4 speed and A/C, that I have ever had.  The shocks and dual exhaust are sound.  The disc brakes stop straight, and smooth, and the suspension is tight.  It still has the factory radio that works.  One other nice feature is that it has dual fuel tanks.  The tires are like new 235/85/16's on stock wheels wheels.  Hop in pump the gas peddle twice, the choke sets, and she fires right up.

The bottom line, this is a nice clean unabused rustfree California survivor that I would hop in and drive it anywhere.  These Highboys are the hottest trucks right now, this one won't last.
