Hard to find and very desirable 1978 Ford
F150 4x4 Super Cab. I get calls weekly for extended and crew cabs.
This SuperCab is 100% rustfree from the west and
still features most of it's original paint. It is very hard to find
100% rustfree Super Cabs as most even from out west get rust in the drip
rails, around the rear window, and in the cab corners. This one had
none of that. I included close-ups of those areas as further proof.
It is real tough to find a true 100% rustfree Super Cab like this one. It has only had two adult
owners and only has 104,643 actual miles on it. The original owner
even put printed labels on the door documenting the miles. It has a
strong 400 engine with a complete Edelbrock cam, lifter, timing chain, intake and
carb combo, nice shifting C6 automatic, PS, PDB, tilt wheel, factory AM/FM stereo,
and a class III receiver style hitch. It also has conservative 3.50
gears, with a Dana 44 up front and a 9" in the rear. The tires are
like new Kelly Safari TSR 31x10.5x15 radials on nice alloy wheels
The body is very straight for the age,
but has signs of normal use, but not abuse. The western sun has baked
the paint of the roof and hood, but that's normal for an original western
survivor. The best part of being original, is that you know exactly
what you are getting. The interior is clean with nice carpet, a nice
cloth seat, and fold down rear jump seats.
The suspension
is tight, the brakes stop nice, and the dual exhaust sounds nice. It
runs and drives excellent that I would hop in and drive anyplace.
Overall, this is a
very nice, very original, hard to find rustfree western 4x4. Every
year it gets tougher for me to find this caliber of classic 4x4. Don't
drag your feet on this one. They are truly all but gone in this
original survivor condition.
