F250 4x4. These late 70 F250's are extremely popular, but are getting
tough for me to find. This is the first regular cab I have had in the past 6
months. This one features the fancy "Ranger" trim on a 99% rustfree
mostly original paint western body. This isn't the straightest one I
have had, but I just cant find them anymore, and the prices are going up
fast. If it was any nicer the price would be $10,950 or higher.
The original 400 has been swapped for a 460. The 460 is a direct bolt
in for the 351 / 400 engine family, is the perfect engine for these trucks.
I consider it a bonus when someone has already done this swap. It also
has a C6 automatic, power steering, power disc brakes, dual fuel tanks, but
missing the front tank, and a class III receiver style hitch, etc. It
has the high pinion Dana 44 front axle, NP203
transfercase, Dana 60 rear axle with conservative 3.54 gears.
It also has a
nice sounding stock fit Kenwood radio.
The tires
are nice, the suspension feels good, as do the brakes. The exhaust is
also sound. It does have a driveline vibration at 55 or so. not
sure of the source.
I call the
truck 99% rustfree because it has rust in the lower inside of the tailgate,
and a little spot on the lower rear pass side bed side down low. it
has some paint coming off of the drivers rear bed side, but no rust there.
Also the body has it's share of dents and dings, but I have priced it fair
for the condition.
