1979 Ford
Bronco XLT, with the cool factory "Free Wheelin" graphics package.
These Broncos are getting very desirable, and hard to find. This
one is a straight, pretty clean original survivor. It is 100%
rustfree and still features much of it's original paint. The only
items that aren't original are the chrome wheels, and a nice sounding AM/FM cassette
stereo. I think other than that it is original.
The "Free Wheelin" package was an
off road package offered by Ford on the 78 and 79 Broncos, and pick ups.
The "Free Wheelin" package consisted of a special graphics package, rear
anti-sway bar, quad front shocks, skid plates, etc.
It features a good running 400,
with a new Edelbrock intake and carb combo, nice shifting C6 automatic, power
steering, power disc brakes, tilt wheel, and intermittent wipers.
It has the bullet proof 205 transfer case, and the high pinion Dana 44
front axle with manual locking hubs. It also has a frame mounted class III hitch, etc.
The interior is original and
clean, but the front seat is still original and showing its age.
This one is unique in that is has the folding bench seat rather than the
bucket seats. The suspension is tight, the exhaust is sound, and
the brakes stop straight. It also has like new 31/10.5/15 tires.
Bottom line this a nice looking, 100% rustfree western survivor
Bronco XLT, with the rare "Free Wheelin" package. I can't say much
more about this Bronco. I will let the pictures speak for
themselves.
