This is a very rare and
desirable 100% RUSTFREE 1979 F150 4x4, with the top-of-the-line "Lariat"
trim package. 1979 was the pinnacle of Fords truck production, and 1979
is arguably the most desirable year. This 4x4 is 100% rustfree from
California. It looks to have the original paint from the molding down.
The upper dark green has been repainted a long time ago. The outer
body is basically straight with dings, chips, and scrapes from use but not
abuse. The inside of the bed does show it's use. This is a fine
example. It has most every option
offered by Ford in 1979, including; 400 V8, C6 Automatic, A/C, PS, PDB, Tilt,
Cruise, int. wipers, posi rear, dual tanks, and bed side tool box, etc.
Everything works, including the A/C, Cruise, and windshield washers.
It also has a class III rear frame mounted hitch, and an electronic trailer
brake controller. The miles are claimed to be 113,784 actual. The original engine runs
nice with no smoke or noise. The automatic choke even works. The
transmission shifts fine. The 31X10.5X15 tires and wheels are new.
The truck drives excellent. The brakes are excellent. The
suspension is tight. The 4x4 system works perfect, also. This
4x4 also has the quad front shock option. The quad front shocks really
make these trucks drive nice. The original single exhaust is about
shot. It needs a nice set of duals. The discolored spot in the
bed behind the pass side rear tire is from the tailpipe scorching the paint.
It isn't rust.
This is a clean original 4x4,
that hasn't been cut or lifted. I would hop in and drive it anyplace.
