1979 F150 4x4, with the
premium "Ranger"
trim package. 1979 was the pinnacle of Fords truck production, and
1979 is arguably the most desirable year. This 4x4 is a rustfree west
coast 4x4, and still features the original paint, on a straight body
other than one dent in front of passengers side of bed. This truck
only has 131k miles on it. This is a fine
example, of an original 4x4 that is well optioned. It features a
strong rebuilt 400 V8,with an Edlebrock intake and card combo, C6 Automatic,
A/C, PS, PDB, Cruise, posi rear, dual tanks, etc. It also has a class
III rear frame mounted hitch.
This truck also features a nice
285/75/16 tires and wheels. The engine runs
real strong. The automatic choke even works. The
transmission shifts fine.
The truck drives excellent. The brakes are nice. The
suspension is tight. It has factory quad front shocks. The
really help stabilize the front end. The 4x4 system works perfect, also.
The F150's like the F250's feature the Dana 44 Front axle, and the bullet
proof 205 transfer case. It has nice sounding exhaust.
It also has a nice sounding AM/FM/CD system.
This is a clean original 4x4,
that hasn't been abused. I would hop in and drive it anyplace.
