1979 F150 4x4, with the top-of-the-line "XLT"
trim package. 1979 was the pinnacle of Fords truck production, and
1979 is arguably the most desirable year. This 4x4 is 100% rustfree
from California, and still features the original paint, on a straight body. This is a fine
example, of an original 4x4 that is well optioned. It features a
strong 400 V8, C6 Automatic, A/C, PS, PDB,
Cruise, posi rear, dual tanks, etc. It also has a class III rear frame
mounted hitch, and an electronic trailer brake controller.
This truck also features a 4"
lift with nice 35" BFG tires, on alloy wheels. The engine runs
nice with no smoke or noise. The automatic choke even works. The
transmission shifts fine.
The truck drives excellent. The brakes are nice. The
suspension is tight. It has factory quad front shocks. The
really help stabilize the front end. The 4x4 system works perfect, also.
The F150's like the F250's feature the Dana 44 Front axle, and the bullet
proof 205 transfer case. It has nice sounding Flowmaster exhaust.
It also has a nice sounding AM/FM/CD system.
This is a clean original 4x4,
that hasn't been abused. I would hop in and drive it anyplace.
