1979 F150 4x4, original
paint on a 99.9% rustfree California body. The body is very straight
and the truck has a nice survivor patina. It has 400 engine, and a 4
speed manual transmission. The 400 engine has an Edelbrock intake and
4 bbl carb on it. It also has Power Steering, Power Disc brakes, and
dual fuel tanks.
These F150's came with
good heavy dusty parts, like a Dana 44 front axle, 205 gear driven
transfercase, and 9in rear axles. This one features 4.11 gears with a
limited slip "posi" rear axle, It also has the big "Desert Cooler" radiator.
The truck is the "Custom" trim level but has a lot of the fancy trim like
the factory Ford tie down hooks, and the lower accent trim.
The interior is clean and
original. The only thing not original is the AM/FM/CD player.
This truck is an honest turn
key driver, that is mostly original and not bad for being over 40 years old.
Those of you that have
been watching the website for a while have probably noticed that I'm finding
less and less pre 80 Fords. They are drying up fast. This one is
pretty nice, straight, and original. I call it 99.9% rustfree because
the bed floor has some pinholes in it. It looks like there might have
been something square on the bed floor and dirt and debris accumulated
around it and caused the rust. The floor itself is still fully strong.
Bottom line if your wanting
one of these you better act sooner than later.
