Very rare and desirable,
one-of-a-kind California survivor. It is a 1979 F100 short bed
step side. This truck is 99.9%
rustfree from California, and still features it's original "Tuxedo Black" paint,
and factory Ford painted on white block style pin stripes. In over 35
years dealing in western rustfree vehicles I have never had or seen
another. This was the
last and best year of the 73 - 79 body style. This is a nice simple
truck that features a strong and smooth 302, and a nice shifting
automatic, with power steering, and disc brakes. It also has a 3.50
limited slip rear axle. The guy I got it
from bought it in 1982 from the original owner. It comes with a folder
full of maintenance and repair receipts
This step side is as an original
survivor as you will find. It has just over 100k original miles.
It dives excellent. The brakes, suspension and exhaust are all sound.
We installed new white letter radial tires on the factory spoked rally
wheels. The blacked out bumpers, and mirrors are also factory with
this paint package.
The interior is also very
original. We installed new OE style carpet. It has a nice
sounding Kenwood CD stereo.
All step sides came with wood
floors. They were made with untreated pine, so needles to say they
didn't last 45 years. We custom fit a bed liner in over the original
wood and metal supports.
This truck has a beautiful
original patina. It would be a coin toss as to leave it all
original, or paint it back to it's original glory. That decision is
for the next owner.
These trucks just aren't around
much in clean original condition anymore. My team of buyers or
myself can hardly find clean original pre 80 Fords anymore. That is
why you are seeing more and more newer stuff on the website. If your
looking for something like this don't hesitate they sell fast and sure
aren't getting any easier to find. Thanks for looking!
