I have been having more and more
requests for 80's vintage Fords, and they have been selling well. This
one is a 1986 Ford F250 4x4 with the middle of the road "XL" trim. 86
was the last of the Bull Nose era trucks that ran from 80 - 86. This
4x4 features it's original paint on a rustfree body from Oregon.
It has been one family owned, and is only has 107k miles. The body is
also pretty straight. It has a couple small dents, and some damage on
the drivers fender.
This truck has never been lifted or off-roaded.
It runs and drives excellent. It features a strong smooth 460 with an
aluminum intake, and Edelbrock carb. The oil pressure gets a
little lower than I would like to see when it is fully warmed up. It
has a smooth shifting 4 speed. The clutch
feels perfect. Other options include: AC, tilt, cruise,
intermittent wipers, factory
tach, dual fuel tanks, etc. It has conservative 3.55 axles, with
manual locking front hubs.
The
interior is clean and original.
It has a nice sounding factory original AM/FM cassette stereo. We
installed a new headliner. It also has all of it's original manuals
and pamphlets from the dealer when new.
The
bed inside is straight, as are the upper bed rails. In no way has this
been a work truck. It has a class III hitch also.
The brakes, suspension, and exhaust all
are sound. The 4x4 system works properly.
This is a very cool well optioned
heavy duty 4x4. Factory black with a 460 4 speed with AC. It
doesn't get much better for a bull nose!
