I have been getting more and more
interest in the 80's and 90's Fords. I have a clean 1 owner till last
year, heavy duty 1995 Ford F350 1ton 4x4 regular cab with the fancy "XLT"
and heavy duty "Off Road" packages. This 4x4 is very clean, 100% rustfree,
and has a very straight body from Nevada. Believe it or not it has
250k on it. It was driven from Arizona to Nevada a lot. It was well
cared for. I was told the engine was rebuilt at 180k. This truck runs
strong, shifts good, and drives tight. This truck has the best
heavy duty parts Ford ever put on a pick-up, including the
straight axle Dana 60 front axle, and a Sterling limited slip rear.
Other options include: strong fuel injected 460, nice shifting overdrive automatic, working A/C,
factory tach, PW, PDL, PS, PDB, tilt, cruise, dual tanks,
keyless entry, class III hitch (with trailer brake
controller), factory alloy wheels, Ford bed liner, and Ford hood guard, etc.
This truck also has conservative 3:55 gears in it. This fully loaded
heavy duty 4x4 has a
clean interior, other than a spot in the seat where the driver get in and
out. The dash and carpet are nice, and it even still has the factory
radio.
The only thing I have noticed is that
when you first start it it has an intermittent clunking or rattle. I
can't tell if it is a motor mount, an idler pulley, the transmission flex
plate, or what. It seems to be gone after the engine runs a few
seconds or a minute. The engine has good oil pressure, with no smoke,
or other noises. I have put over a 100 miles on this truck and would
drive it anyplace.
This hasn't been a beat off roaded
truck. This is a no excuses
hop in and drive heavy duty 4x4. You won't be disappointed. |
