Very
cool and hard to find 1979 GMC "Jimmy". The K5 Blazer from Chevrolet
is much more common than the GMC Jimmy. Plus, Jimmy just sounds
cooler. This is a fully loaded "High Sierra" model. It is 99.5%
rustfree from California. It is a factory black Jimmy with burgundy
interior. It looks to have most every option, and features a strong
older rebuilt 350, and TH350 automatic, power windows, power door locks,
tilt, cruise, A/C, power rear window, int. wipers, factory rally wheels,
etc. The engine runs good, but has a mild noise, the transmission
shifts nice, the suspension is tight, the brakes stop nice, and the exhaust
is sound.
I call it
99.5% rustfree because it has some rust in the passengers floor. The
floor is still solid. Other than that there is no cancer anywhere else
in it. It isn't perfect, but no survivor type vehicles are.
Either way it is a turn key driver, that is fully loaded, in a nice color
combination.
These
K5's, like all classic 4x4's are crazy right now. I was tickled to
even find this one. Don't drag your feet, she wont last. |
