This is a hard to find, and
desirable 1987 GMC Sierra Classics Longbed 4x4. The Sierra
Classics is GMC's Top-of-the-line trim level. What makes the 87's
so rare, and desirable is the fact that it is the only year that GM
offered fuel injection in this classics body style pickup. You get
all the convenience of a newer fuel injected truck, in the classic
older body. This one is features the original paint on a pretty
straight 99.9 % rustfree west coast body. Plus it has just over
100K miles on it. It features a strong fuel injected 350,
and a nice shifting overdrive automatic. It also has: A/C, PS,
PDB, Tilt, Cruise, duel fuel tanks, class III tow hitch, etc.
Finally, it has a new nice sounding Kenwood AM/FM/CD sound system.
This 4x4 has nice 31/10.50/15 tires on the original rally wheels.
The interior is also clean and original. I call it 99.9% rustfree
because the bed has some rust on the inside. The bed is very
straight inside, but it had both a bed mat and bed liner in it and some
debris got under the liner and held moisture and caused the bed to rust
inside. See pics. A person could find a donor truck and cut
that piece out and weld it in or just pot a bed liner back in and not
worry about it. The exterior, floors, cab mounts etc, are all
original and totally rustfree. The paint does have some of that
typical 80's delamination, but again it's original so you know what you
are getting.
Everything else about the truck is
so nice and original I just couldn't pass it up. Everybody who is
into this body style wants an 87.
This is an excellent strong
running and driving truck. I have personally used the 4x4 system.
It has new Warn manual locking hubs on it. The suspension is
tight. The brakes, and shocks are all good also. I
would hop in and drive this truck anywhere. I don't have to make
any excuses for it.
