1991 GMC
Suburban. This Suburban is 100% rustfree from California. It
is a fully loaded, Top-of-the-Line SLE model. This is the last and
the best of the classic straight axle Suburbans. It looks to
have most every option available. It has a strong fuel injected
350, a rebuilt 700R4 overdrive automatic, with a HD B&M
torque converter. With this combination of a fuel injected 350 and
the overdrive you can expect 17+ mpg on the highway. It has front and rear A/C, Cruise, Tilt, PW, PDL,
Bucket Seats, power mirrors, Class III
hitch with electronic brake controller, Skid plates, Front tow hooks, etc.
The suspension is tight, and the Suburban sits up nice and proud on nice
35x12.5x15's, and a 4" suspension lift. It has 3.73 gears
which are perfect for the overdrive trans and 35" tall tires. She
still gets good fuel economy, but has good torque.
It only has
190k which is low for these Suburbans. Mechanically this Suburban
needs nothing. As mentioned the suspension is tight. The
disc brakes stop true, and the exhaust is nice with a nice sounding
FlowMaster muffler.
The interior is
clean. It has 3rd row
seating and the overhead console. We installed a new OE quality
headliner also. Not an easy or cheap job. It also has the
preferred rear side-by-side "Barn" doors.
Bottom-Line,
she has a nice straight body with original paint that is 100% rustfree.
Overall, this is a nice clean no excuses, fully loaded Suburban
that has a nice muscular look. I wouldn't be afraid to
hop in and drive it cross country. |
